Just as each marriage is unique, each divorce case is different and requires a custom approach. Some firms treat each client the same as the last in a cookie-cutter fashion without giving them the individual care and attention they deserve. Divorce is an emotional rollercoaster and your lawyer should be there to support you as well as to guide you through this difficult legal process. That is why the legal team at Coontz Cochran focuses on the needs of each client individually and tailors services to meet their needs.
At our firm, you will receive the full attention of your attorney as they thoroughly study your case. We pride ourselves on our detailed preparation, which ensures that our clients are represented from every possible angle. Since each family law case is different, we are prepared to be aggressive and fight relentlessly for child custody or spousal support on your behalf as necessary, or to be understanding and supportive through a difficult dissolution. We excel in knowing which approach to take for the best interest of our clients and their children and can determine a strategy that will fit your individual needs. A lawyer from our legal team could skillfully counsel and represent you no matter what divorce issue you may be facing.
In 1990, attorneys Greg Coontz and John Neill opened the doors of their new firm, then known as Coontz & Neill. In the beginning they took almost any client, paying or not, and struggled to make the firm a success. Eventually it started to thrive and, five years later, moved into its current building. Coontz later became Board Certified in personal injury trial law and civil trial law, and Neill was appointed Judge of the 18th District Court of Johnson County by the Governor of Texas, where he continues to preside with distinction.
At that point, the firm changed its name to The Law Office of J. Greg Coontz and continued forward until Jeff Cochran joined in 1999. Cochran became a partner six years later, and the firm changed its name once more to Coontz Cochran. Today, the firm has garnered much respect and recognition for its services, including divorce and family law.
